Exciting Teaching Opportunity in East Seoul

🏫 Hagwon
📍Seoul, South Korea
💰 Competitive Salary
English / ESL / TEFL
Job Description:

Are you looking for a teaching position in East Seoul with great benefits and a supportive work environment? Look no further! Our school, located in Dasan / Guri (close to Dasan Station Line 8), is now hiring.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from 2.4 to 3.1 million KRW, along with either housing or a 0.6 stipend based on your schedule and qualifications. In addition, you will receive 16 paid vacation days, airfare, severance pay, health insurance, and national pension.

The position starts on June 2, with workdays from Monday to Friday, 8:50 am to 5:30 pm. Teaching hours are less than 25 per week, with most teachers finishing at 4:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and at 3 pm on Fridays. Student levels include morning kindergarten and evening elementary classes.

Our school has a well-established reputation, being in operation for four years and the second largest in the area. Currently, we have around 10 foreign teachers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.

The daily schedule involves approximately 18 hours of morning kindergarten classes, followed by elementary afterschool sessions from 2:45 pm to 4:25 pm Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, there is an optional club-day class with overtime pay. Prep time is scheduled from 4:25 pm to 5:30 pm, with minimal duties to ensure teachers can leave early once tasks are completed.

We also offer the option for a morning kindergarten-only schedule from 9 am to 2:30 pm, with adjusted compensation relative to hours worked. Visa sponsorship is available for part-time positions; simply express your interest in the email.

If you are passionate about teaching and want to join our dynamic team, please send your application to leadership@skie-korea.org.

📌 You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.

⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.

⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
