ILSAN PART-TIME ENGLISH TEACHER NEEDED

Founded in 2024, Wisepen Language Institute is a growing English academy in South Korea, devoted to offering English education to Korean students, focusing on reading, critical thinking, academic writing, and grammar.

🔸 Job Summary:

- Location: Hogok, Ilsan, Goyang-si. A short walk from Ilsan Station

- Start Date: April 28, 2025 (Summer Term)

- Working Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

- Pay: 20,000 won - 25,000 won per hour (experience-dependent)

- Age Group: Elementary grades 3 - 6

- Teaching Hours: 6 hours/week (possibility of more hours later)

- Housing: No allowance provided

- Vacation: No paid vacation. Classes on holidays

✅ Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of teaching experience required

- Apostilled diploma and FBI background check needed (assistance available if hired)

- Mandatory health check required

- Preference for F-2/F-4 Visa holders or Korean nationals fluent in English and who have studied abroad

- Preference for Education/English majors (not mandatory)

📌 Position Overview:

- Teach reading comprehension and academic writing to students in grades 3-6

- Small class sizes with less than 8 students

- Thorough lesson preparation, grading, and test creation

- Professionalism, friendliness with students, and parent communication

📍 Location:

- 3-5 minutes walk from Ilsan Station

🕒 Working Hours:

- Tue/Thu: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

- Approx. 6 teaching hours per week (potential for more later)

🗓️ Start Date:

April 28, 2025. Training provided before start date

💰 Salary:

- 20,000 - 25,000 won per hour (3.3% tax)

- Compensation varies based on experience

Because this is a part-time role, no housing benefits provided. Classes on holidays. Unpaid breaks in July, December, Chuseok, and Lunar New Year.
