Hi there! I'm Trevor Crowe, the co-owner and head teacher at Ron English. We're currently hiring an experienced teacher for our second branch in Incheon. We're looking for someone with previous teaching experience in Korea who enjoys working with elementary-aged children.
Our school's philosophy is "Happy, Simple, English." We aim to provide a safe and comfortable academic environment that promotes holistic English development. Our goal is to create a fun and low-stress atmosphere that nurtures a lasting interest in learning English.
At Ron English, we have opportunities for professional growth as we continue to expand. We are looking to add one more teacher to our team of 4 native English-speaking instructors.
We value teachers who appreciate both autonomy and collaboration. Our prepared curriculum eliminates the need to create new materials, allowing teachers to focus on delivering engaging lessons and supporting their students with supplementary materials.
We believe in student-centered classrooms that encourage active participation and social interaction. Our ideal classroom is lively, collaborative, and engaging, promoting meaningful language use.
Classes run five days a week with a maximum of eight students per class. Fridays are dedicated to activity-based classes tied to weekly themes planned by our team of teachers.
**Job Details**
- Start Date: Beginning of March
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM–7:45 PM
- Teaching Hours: 2:30 PM–7:30 PM (5 classes/day with breaks)
- Student Age Group: Elementary
- Class Size: Max 8 students per class
**Salary & Benefits**
- Salary: Starting at 2.6 million KRW+ based on experience
- Housing: Provided or allowance of 400,000 KRW/month
- Benefits: Severance pay, health insurance, pension, and more
- Vacation: 11 days in the first year, 15 days in the second year, plus national holidays
**Visa & Requirements**
- Visa Type: E-2 visa sponsorship or F-series visa holders
- Eligibility: Must be from eligible countries or hold an F-series visa with relevant teaching experience
**Owners and Location**
I am a licensed elementary school teacher from Toronto, running two English academies with my wife. The position is at our first branch in Yeongjong-do, Incheon, a growing city near Seoul and Incheon Airport.
