Hi there! We are TNL Academy, a hagwon located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, specializing in teaching English to kindergarten and elementary students for the past 18 years. We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated English teacher to join our team starting January 5th, 2026.
Job Details:
- Location: 192 Ichon-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea
- Contract start date: January 5th, 2026 (minimum 1-year contract)
- Working hours: Mon/Wed/Fri 9.00 - 6.10 p.m. and Tues/Thurs 9.00 - 4.30 p.m.
- Salary: Minimum 2.4 million KRW, negotiable based on experience/qualifications
- Starting vacation days: 12-13 days plus National Korean Holidays
- Class size: Maximum 10 students
- Benefits: Severance pay, National pension, health insurance, one-way flight ticket to Korea, and furnished apartment provided near Sookmyung Women’s University (no-pet friendly housing)
Responsibilities:
- Teach phonics, pronunciation, fluency, reading, and writing skills to elementary students following a provided syllabus.
- Conduct original classes focusing on discussion, creative writing, and analytical writing for higher-level debate preparation.
- Lead kindergarten students in dance, roleplay, and art classes.
- Implement creative teaching methods to make classes enjoyable for students.
- Supervise students on field trips and participate in special events.
Necessary Qualifications:
- Native English Speaker
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Eligible for E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
- Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check required
- TESOL, TEFL, or equivalent certification
- Good physical and mental health
