Job Description:

This is a full-time ELA kindergarten, primary/elementary school teaching position from the 15th of August 2024 for a 1 year contract - with a full program from kindergarten to Grade 6.

An elementary school teaching license is required! Also required is teaching experience teaching in kindergarten, elementary school classes in elementary schools (not just tutoring).

Positions: 4 Teachers (full-time)

NOTE: We are primarily seeking full-time, ELA and kindergarten teachers with teaching licenses.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Educators with a bachelor’s degree or higher, and who fall under one of the following categories:

(1) Possessing an accredited Elementary School License (preferred) (2) (PGCE, B.Ed or M.Ed / QTS)

2. Experience in ELA teaching as a subject specialization in a class at an accredited school or international educational institution (approx. 3 years or more) - A teaching license from an accredited institution of higher education.

3. Native English Speakers or Native Level English Speakers from the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, and Canada preferred. If you are not sure but speak extremely well and have the above experience and knowledge, please do apply. Thank you.

SUBJECT NOTE:

1. Teachers with an Elementary School license and teaching experience at the elementary school level.

2. Willingness and ability to play a crucial role in curriculum development, needs assessment, goal setting, content selection and instructional needs.

3. Teachers with understanding and/or have a strong interest in the IB program (PYP)

4. Teachers who are able to teach a full-spectrum of courses in an Elementary School setting and at times, kindergarten.

5. Willingness and ability to work in Japan for at least 2 years. It is an annual contract for the first two years, but availability for at least that long would be preferred.

6. A demonstrated/articulated understanding interest in Japanese culture and language

Salary/Benefits: Salary will be in accordance with experience (approx. 210,000 to 250,000 yen per month before taxes), full visa sponsorship, assistance in apartment location

Selection Criteria: 1. First submission of application and materials. 2. After initial review, qualified candidates will be asked to do an interview (Skype, if necessary) and to deliver a simulated lesson (as needed).
