Job Description:

Job Title: A-Level Chemistry Teacher (British Curriculum)

Location: Kyodae Station (교대역), Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea

We are seeking a motivated A-Level Chemistry Teacher to join our international team delivering the British A-Level curriculum to ambitious Korean students preparing for UK universities. This is an exciting opportunity to live and work in Seoul while teaching highly motivated students in a supportive academic environment.

▪︎About the Role▪︎

•Deliver engaging A-Level Chemistry lessons
•Support students with mock examinations and academic preparation
•Assist students with UCAS applications, including personal statements and references

•Contribute to administrative tasks and academic support activities

•Help develop students’ English proficiency (e.g., occasional IELTS speaking practice)

•Support school marketing and outreach, such as appearing in YouTube or blog content


▪︎Applicant Requirements▪︎

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)

Strong academic background at secondary school and university

Passion for science and education

Internationally minded and open to new cultures

Self-motivated, organised, and resilient

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Applicants must already hold a visa that permits employment in South Korea


Teaching qualifications and experience are welcome but not required. Applicants with experience studying within the British curriculum are particularly encouraged to apply, though we welcome candidates from all backgrounds.

▪︎Position Details▪︎

Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 (20–30 teaching hours per week)

Students: Korean students aged 17–20 preparing for UK universities

Language: All courses taught in English


▪︎Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience

Housing: Free furnished apartment in Gangnam or housing allowance with key money support

Flights: Return airfare for overseas hires or flight voucher at end of contract

Vacation: 15 days + Korean national holidays

Severance: One month’s salary for each 12 months worked

Insurance: Pension and medical insurance (50% employer contribution)
