https://www.teachenglishinkorea.org">www.teachenglishinkorea.org Β· Expat-Owned and Operated Β· Placing Teachers Since 2006
Greetings from Bradley and Yumi Brennan at TEIK.
We are American-owned and run by expats, not a Korean agency. We only work with schools that pay teachers on time, honor their contracts, and treat foreign staff with respect. Our motto is simple. No BS. No Drama. We choose quality over quantity.
We walk you through every step: gathering documents, interviews, the visa process, flights, arrival, and building a social life once you land. We live in Korea ourselves, so our support doesn't end when you board the plane.
π Why Work With TEIK?
β
Expat-run. Bradley and Yumi have lived, taught and recruited in Korea for over 20 years. Bradley is also an Assistant Professor at a Korean university, a former Korean government employee, and taught English for five years before that. Yumi spent eight years in Korean government. Same road you're about to walk.
β
Vetted schools only. Over 2,000 teachers placed since 2006. We hold 4.84 out of 5 from more than 90 Go Overseas reviews, Community Choice Awards in 2023 and 2025, and over 100 reviews on our own site.
β
Support from application to the end of your contract. Documents, visa, flights, settling in, and TEIK events once you're here.
β
Networking dinners every spring and fall. Up to 60 current and former TEIK teachers, at least twice a year.
β
We introduce you to current TEIK teachers before you fly. You land with friends already waiting.

β FEATURED SCHOOL. NEW THIS MONTH, AND IT STARTS BEFORE MARCH
https://www.teachenglishinkorea.org/jobs-1/bangi-dong-songpa-gu-seoul-afternoon-elementary-february-1st-2027-16-expats-2.5m-2.6m">Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Afternoon elementary, starting February 1st, 2027.
2.5M KRW with no experience, 2.6M+ with experience, set at the interview. Elementary only, grades 1 to 6, so no kindergarten. You work Monday to Thursday 1:00 to 9:35 PM and Friday 1:00 to 7:10 PM, with 24 teaching hours a week. If you are not a morning person, this is your school.
The school has 16 foreign teachers and sits in Songpa-gu, southeast Seoul, a short walk from Olympic Park. You get a furnished single apartment, 11 paid vacation days, severance, and half of your health insurance and pension paid.
Two things worth knowing. The contract runs February 1st, 2027 to January 31st, 2028, and training starts in mid-January, so your documents need to start moving now. And the school doesn't pay your flight in. It pays up to 1M KRW toward your flight home when you finish.

REVIEWS FROM OUR TEACHERS
Greetings Brad from sunny Seoul!! Things are going great at my hagwon in Suyu, northern Seoul. The transition has been rather mild... Teaching requires a great deal of patience and an awful lot of spontaneity. My students keep me on my toes, and I enjoy their youthfulness, innocence, and dedication. In Korea, I feel very peaceful and relaxed... Thank you for your hours of research and dedication to this exciting adventure. I feel I owe you a great deal for your participation. Thank you for your enthusiasm and ability to 'sniff out' solid hagwons, and cheers for processing my visa so quickly for me. May you be blessed with many other happy teachers!!
β Heidi K., Northern Seoul
Hey Brad, Thank you for placing Matt and me at such an amazing school. We are extremely happy here... The class sizes are the best part β I have seven students in the morning and 6 in the afternoon. It makes teaching and building a relationship with the students very easy... It was so nice to have dinner and drinks with you last month... have we told you how nice it is to still have you as a support system? We discussed how we can contact you about anything and how you reply immediately. We have friends who haven't spoken to their recruiter since they boarded the plane; not cool.
β Brittany B., Seoul / Gyeonggido
Hi Brad! How are you? My first month in Cheongju was great. I really enjoy my job and my co-workers and friends have treated me extremely well... I feel very fortunate to have been placed in one of the best family-operated franchise locations in the area. My apartment is superb, and the relationship with my new Korean family is wonderful... I was impressed by the extraordinary effort you displayed to secure for me a position under the most desirable and convenient of circumstances, and I am truly thankful for your steadfast assistance throughout the entire visa process. Your professionalism reflects well upon your program, and I would recommend your excellent service to anyone.
β Kyle F., Cheongju
A few months ago, my wife and I were searching for jobs. Our search brought us thankfully to an online post saying, βTeach English in Korea.β... From the beginning, Brad was a wonderful person to work with... Once we accepted, Brad helped us with the visa process and got everything filled out and thoroughly organized... We have a cute two-bedroom apartment only a 10-minute walk from our school, and we enjoy our time here.
β Elizabeth & Nolan H.
Hey Brad, Sorry to take so long to write. Everything has been great here. All the staff and faculty at my school here in Ansan have made me feel welcome and part of their family. I couldn't have asked for a better school... After only two months, I am quite sure I will sign on again for a second year with this school. I highly recommend Brad's service to anyone reading this and trying to decide who to use as a recruiter. I've talked to many other foreign language teachers since I have been here, and almost all of them are envious of my placement with this school.

Please mention that you found the job on Teast for the school's reference.
π You need to be from one of the following counties to teach English in South Korea: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa. If you are not from one of those countries, you can still teach English in most other countries. This requirement is specific to South Korea and school's can only issue visa's to teachers from those listed countries.
β³ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
β οΈ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
