PLEASE READ TIL END TO BE CONSIDERED.
We not only teach our students English through relevant, interesting conversation (as we all learned our first language!), but we motivate them to keep learning by communicating with others in the community, and trying new ways to learn that truly boost fluency like TV and making friends. We also give highly customized lessons based on client's job and interests.
For this client Fluency Corp will
provide you with material appropriate for the level of the employees
support you, the teacher, throughout the process
provide progress report templates
pay you every 2 weeks
send out feedback surveys to the employees 2 times throughout the course
provide you with the feedback from the employees so you can have a successful course over the 25 weeks
You (the coach) will
ensure they are speaking in class as much as possible (role play!)and get them confident in speaking with their supervisors
not focus on grammar lessons but more practical lessons and real work usage
ensure employees gain confidence and higher fluency for the specific conversations they need to have at work
bring a lot of energy and fun to classes
We are serious about our jobs and care deeply about our students.
You must :
have 5+ years teaching ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE - SPECIFICALLY to adults in a one on one or small group setting (average 7 - 15 employees in a class)
have experience keeping the class lively after a hard day's work
be able to fill out a goals form and quarterly progress reports (templates given)
be always on time (preferably early)
Please let us know
why a contractor position works well for you (aka you are not looking for a full time position that would cause you to NOT be able to finish this contract)
if you will be available to teach on Wednesdays for the entire course starting in October
how many driving minutes you are away from location (if travel time is more than 30 minutes, we know this could be hard on you)
If these questions are not answered in your cover letter or in a message, we will not be able to set up an interview with you, as these are essential questions we need answered.
We look forward to speaking!

📌 Please review the requirements to teach English in Japan before you start applying for teaching positions. If the job post specifies "NES" or "Native English Speaker", it typically means applicants are required to be from one of the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa. However, in some cases, this may indicate a preference rather than a strict requirement.
⏳ Due to the high number of applications the schools receive they may not be able to respond to every application. If you don't hear back from them within a week or so, it's best to move on to the next job.
⚠️ When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy anything which they then pay you back for later. NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. Scams in TEFL are rampant, be careful!
