Schedule Options:
5-Day Week: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (up to 28 teaching hours per week, starting at 20 hours).
6-Day Week: Monday to Saturday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Mon-Fri), 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Sat). Similar teaching hours as the 5-day schedule, with Saturday classes included.
Additional preparation and grading hours required for both schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach core subjects, with a focus on Debate, TOEFL Reading & Writing, SAT Test Prep, in addition to English Literature, Essay Writing, Reading Comprehension, Speech Writing, and Vocabulary Development for grades 2-6.
Develop and deliver dynamic lessons that promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and clear communication.
Prepare students for standardized tests (TOEFL/SAT) by utilizing proven strategies and customized lesson plans.
Foster a positive, interactive classroom environment to enhance student engagement and success in debate and test preparation.
Assess and provide constructive feedback to improve student performance and confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive curriculum and optimal learning experience.
Participate in curriculum development to tailor lesson plans for diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (preference for degrees from US/UK universities). Advanced degrees are highly regarded.
Experience: Proven experience teaching Debate, TOEFL, and/or SAT Prep is highly desirable. Prior experience in Daechi or similar competitive academic environments is an advantage.
Skills: Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills. Familiarity with digital teaching tools like Google Classroom, Google Suite, Canva, PowerPoint, and Word.
Requirements: Apostilled CBC, university diploma, and clean self-medical health check.
Commitment: Long-term stay in Korea is preferred, with a strong dedication to student success and growth.
Compensation:
5-Day Schedule: 3.5 million KRW/month, 12 paid vacation days.
6-Day Schedule: 4.0 million KRW/month, 14 paid vacation days.
Severance pay provided upon contract completion. Salaries are negotiable based on experience.

National medical insurance and pension (50/50 split).
Housing allowance of 500,000 KRW/month.
E-2 visa sponsorship available. F visa holders can sign on as independent contractors (3.3% tax).
