KAIST Full-time EFL Faculty Opening in Daejeon

The EFL Program at KAIST in Daejeon, South Korea, is seeking a full-time EFL faculty member. KAIST is renowned for science and engineering education with most courses taught in English. The campus is located in Daedeok Innopolis, South Korea's leading R&D center, just 150 km south of Seoul, easily accessible by high-speed trains.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics
- Native-like fluency in English
- Minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience
- Hold an E-1 or F-series visa
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience teaching EFL courses for science and engineering students
- Experience developing and teaching AI-integrated EFL courses
- Experience teaching scientific writing
- Experience developing and teaching CLIL courses
DUTIES:
Teaching 12 hours per week during spring and fall semesters, with additional tutoring or teaching hours and office hours. Responsibilities include curriculum development and university-related duties. Summer or winter teaching may be required if obligations are not met during spring or fall.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, with additional benefits.
STARTING DATE: February 18, 2027
CONTRACT PERIOD:
Initial contract for two years, renewable based on performance and institutional needs.
